Zaedy (zaydy) on the lips - causes, treatment, folk remedies

Zayeda (zayeda) is the popular name for several diseases that look like damage to the mucous membrane and skin in the corners of the mouth - erosion, cracks, pustules, sores, crusts, etc.

In medical science, seizures are called angulitis, cheilitis, angular stomatitis, erosive papules with syphilis, etc. Therefore, only a dermatologist can make a correct diagnosis and prescribe an effective treatment.

How to treat seizures?

Everything depends on its nature. After all, for example, if the seizure is of a bacterial nature (caused by a streptococcal bacterium and is called streptococcal), then antibacterial drugs are prescribed. If the causative agent is a yeast-like fungal flora of the genus Candida (yeast or candidiasis jam), then it is recommended to use antifungal drugs, nystatin, levorin or 2% sulfur-salicylic ointment.

Other causes of seizures can also be syphilis - syphilitic seizures and oncological diseases.

Seizures in the corners of the lips can also appear in people suffering from iron deficiency anemia (which, in turn, is caused by diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, hypovitaminosis, etc.), diabetes mellitus, or due to a lack of vitamin A or B2 in the body.

Significant damage to the skin in the corners of the lips (Figure No. 1) characterizes the disease as angulitis, so it is worth distinguishing a mild form of seizure (Figure No. 3) caused by dry skin and chapping of the lips in the autumn-spring period, overheating or hypothermia of the body, as well as seizures of an allergic nature , for example, in case of intolerance to toothpaste, lipstick, medicines, etc.

In children, zayda on the lip (Figure No. 2) may appear if the child likes to lick his lips, or dirty fingers, or drags foreign objects into his mouth.

Frequent seizures during pregnancy. For example, yeast-like fungi quietly exist in nature without a carrier, they are found on vegetables, fruits, dairy products, get on our skin and mucous membranes. This is a conditionally pathogenic flora. But in pregnant women, as you know, immunity decreases. And against the background of reduced immunity, fungi acquire pathogenic properties and provoke the development of candidiasis.

For the treatment of zayed, 3% boric alcohol and a solution of brilliant green (brilliant green) are used, they have an antiseptic and disinfectant effect.

Mild inflammation will help remove oil: olive, flaxseed, butter, tea tree, or an oil solution of vitamin E.

If it does not help, you can make a more complex mask. To do this, 2 tablespoons of olive oil need to be slightly warmed up, soaked with a cloth or cotton pad and kept for 20-30 minutes at the site of the lesion. Also (only without heating) tea tree oil is also used, due to its bactericidal and wound-healing properties, jams quickly disappear.

Compresses from brewed green tea, honey, infusion of oak bark, alder cones will also help (they also have disinfectant and astringent properties). Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects also have lotions from tinctures of chamomile and sage. The decoction is prepared according to the recipe: 2 tablespoons per cup of boiling water, kept for 30 minutes in a water bath, squeezed, filtered, boiled water is added to make the total volume about 200 mg.

You can wipe the affected corners of the lips with Kalanchoe juice. Jamming at the corners of the mouth and cracked lips can be cured with a homemade ointment of pureed apples and butter.

At home, you can cure zada with the help of earwax. With the help of a cotton swab, it is taken out of the auricle and covered with the affected area. Don't believe? But this makes sense: we wrote above that if the seizure is caused by a fungus, then they use sulfuric salicylic ointment.

There are, of course, other folk ways to cure Zayed. My grandmother said that a lock of hair would help get rid of the jam. You need to take your strand of hair in your mouth, and then pull it out, running your hair along the jam. I could not personally verify the efficiency of this method, but I will not prove its 100% inefficiency.

So first try folk methods, and if the jam does not disappear within 10-14 days, you should consult a doctor, take a scraping and establish the causative agent of the disease. You will also need to take a blood test to confirm or rule out iron deficiency, diabetes and other inflammatory processes.

Zayed prevention:

- include in your diet dairy and whole grains, eggs, leafy vegetables, legumes, avocados (they are rich in riboflavin - vitamin B2),

- also eat foods containing iron (liver, beef, nuts, apples, grapes),

- exclude spicy, sour, salty, thus reduce the number of irritating factors,

– visit a dentist – treat caries, remove tartar, change crowns,

- change your toothpaste and toothbrush and generally follow the rules of oral hygiene, use a clean face towel,

- if you smoke - it's time to quit or at least reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke.

I don’t know about jamming, but my grandmother taught me to treat painful pimples on the tip of my tongue with the tip of my hair. When I had long hair, I rubbed the sore spot lightly with a conic at night, everything went away by morning. Now I have a haircut, I pull out a few hairs and do the same procedure.

I had something similar to the third photo. I thought it was just chapped lips. Smeared with hygienic lipstick, did not help. Then a friend (she just also encountered this) told about the jams and compresses from green tea. I tried and in just a few procedures I finally got rid of this muck.

Synthomycin helps everyone. I had what is in the 3rd picture, and I anointed it. After 3 or 4 days of treatment, everything went away for me. Just apply 3 times a day and that's it.

Baby powder helped me at night. And during the day, tetracylin 3% ointment. Good luck.

I would like to share my latest experience...
I suffered for several days, a jam appeared from one corner of my lips ... mama mia !!! that I just didn’t smear!!!!…nothing helped, and I accidentally found the ROZAMET ointment, I once bought it for the treatment of pimples (ineffective for me) I will return to Rozamet… it helped almost immediately!!!!…and now the second day…I apply I’ll stop by this ointment ... almost everything is gone !!!! Tip ... at night, if this ointment is not available, grease your lips thickly with petroleum jelly.
