Disputes on the usefulness and harmfulness of cartoons for a child have been going on for years. Yes, cartoons are definitely not the best thing that parents can give their children. Their disadvantages are obvious:
- in front of the screen, the child sits motionless and without blinking, the load on the eyes increases,
- addiction can develop, which will lead to impressive tantrums on the part of the baby and concessions on the part of the parents, who will choose an easier way to distract the child.
But let's be realistic ! Sometimes it is vital to “neutralize” the child for 20-30 minutes. And, choosing the lesser of the evils, between watching cartoons in doses and an angry dad who remained hungry because the child “hung” on his mother, I still prefer cartoons. Satisfied and happy parents will have the opportunity to spend much better time with their child after dinner and catch up.
And another tip: consider cartoons as a means of encouraging a child, in which case excommunication from them will be an effective punishment. You will not need to puzzle over how to punish for another misconduct.
Which cartoons do you prefer? ONLY those with which you can leave the child alone without fear. The selected cartoon MUST (simply MUST):
a) to have good, kind actors whose actions instill the right values in life. But in no case should the heroes be perfect, otherwise the feeling of guilt for their shortcomings will overwhelm the child.
b) be helpful and teach the baby something new.
c) well, no one canceled a high-quality picture and good sound!
By the way, psychologists do not specifically approve of “boyish” or “girlish” cartoons that promote the separation of the sexes. Say "NO" to various cars, trains, barbies and princesses. Premature emphasis on sexual characteristics will teach the child to give preference only to "their own". Preschool children should play freely and communicate with peers of both sexes.
It is undesirable to "plant" a child on a mass and cult cartoon. Otherwise, the constant desire for commercial products with the image of your favorite hero (notebooks, backpacks) is guaranteed to you!
At the age of 3-4 years, children begin to perceive and understand various social relations: good and evil (their eternal struggle), life and death, love and friendship, so the main characters should be not only animals, but also people. The cartoon should reproduce human relations.
