Among all kinds of shells that are placed on playgrounds, a sandbox occupies a special place. It can be played by both toddlers who have barely learned to walk, and children a little older. And vigilant mothers can always join the children's company.
Despite the soiled clothes and the dirty face, the child will get a lot of pleasure and benefit from such a pastime. After all, a children's sandbox is not just a fenced area, it is also a place to meet new friends. The joint construction of a sand castle or the modeling of pasok will teach the child to find a compromise with other children, share a scoop or bucket, and also learn the names of all kinds of shapes (moulds).
The benefits of ordinary sand
Psychotherapists around the world recognize that sand has unique healing properties: due to the ability to take any form, it has a calming and sometimes truly bewitching effect, contributes to the development of the child. Strengthening fine motor skills of the fingers has a beneficial effect on the development of speech and thinking of the baby.
Even if a beloved child will simply pick up grains of sand in a handful, and slowly wake up through his fingers, such a simple task will take him for a long time. Modeling figures helps to express what the baby cannot yet convey in words, introduces him to the beautiful, reveals his inner world. What can be done in the sandbox, except for sculpting Easter cakes? In fact, a lot:
# "stuff" the Easter cake by hiding a small object inside it; mom hides - the child guesses, or vice versa;
# excavation of the pit - the deeper, the better; any child will like it; the pit can be turned into a "pond" by pouring water and launching a paper boat;
# mixing "porridge-malashi" - the best recipe for all time (especially if the idea with the pond failed);
# searching for a treasure (a toy buried in the sand);
# feeding the little animals with a sand "cake";
the main thing is that the toy “eats” and not the child; building a house for a small animal (or a garage for a car, or the construction of any other buildings).
At the end of the game, it is necessary to teach the child to independently collect toys.
