March 8 - a stupid holiday?

Dear men!

Are you really so afraid of the women's holiday that you inflate such a stir around it? Does your woman (mother, wife, sister, girlfriend, lover, roommate) require you to get a star from the sky or perform a heroic deed in her name? Eh, such men seem to have disappeared. This is the lot of Don Quixote, and modern men a month before International Women's Day (March 8th, who didn't understand) begin to prepare, inserting jokes like: “Be quiet, woman, your day is March 8th”, calling it “black day of the calendar" and God's punishment.

It feels like at 00:00 all the women of the world are reincarnated as hellish demons, ready to rip the flesh from your bones. But in fact? It is rare that a husband or boyfriend bothers to give his wife flowers (Why? They will wither anyway) or cook a romantic dinner. If he smacks on the cheek in the morning - and that's good.

State authorities and other high-ranking figures also fan the fire around the holiday. The Orthodox Church, for example, strongly recommends refraining from celebrating Women's Day. Firstly, this is the first week of Lent this year. But in fact, you can congratulate and not violate the prohibitions on fasting, too. Secondly, the church is offended by our women (oh, how!). Like, you need to pay attention to women, respect them and love them not only once a year.

On the one hand, it’s true, because the holiday was elevated to the rank of a “bribe” - he came and paid off. But on the other hand, on lack of fish and cancer - fish. If a man does not pamper you 365 days a year, then why not accept congratulations on this wonderful spring day?

March 8 - the history of the holiday. This is the story of women fighting for their rights.

Even the ancient Romans knew Women's Day. On such a day, free married women received gifts from their spouses, they were given various honors and attention. The mistress of the house did not forget her slaves either, on this day they were given a day off and were also given small gifts. On this day, women paid tribute to the goddess Vesta, the keeper of the hearth.

March 8th has been celebrated in a modern way since 1857, and it began with the New York demonstration of textile workers who took to the streets protesting against slave conditions and low wages and demanding a reduction in the working day (by the way, they worked in New York women 16 hours, and men at that time 10).

The second version of the holiday says that it originates from Chicago. At the beginning of the 20th century, Chicago housewives were so outraged by the ingratitude of men that they organized a protest march called the “Empty Pot March.” They took to the streets and drummed on empty pots, buckets, basins, thus defending their rights. As a result, the men were left hungry, and the women let off steam.

History was forgotten until 1910, when Clara Zetkin, at the II International Socialist Women's Conference, proposed the founding of an international women's day. The date of such a day was chosen as the day of the “march of empty pans”.

Although, of course, at that time, Clara meant something different by Women's Day - a day when women would organize rallies and processions, drawing public attention to their problems. In the newspapers of those times, for example, March 8 was called as "the day of the review of the combat forces of working women and peasant women of the whole country." And not a word about spring and love. The goal is to gather women in meetings, circles of political literacy and involve them in the process of class struggle and socialist construction.

But history turned out differently. Later, there were attempts to prove that this story is just a legend that was invented in order to separate the foundation of the holiday from the communist ideology. This moment at that time was fundamentally important for Western Europe and America during the Cold War.

If you really, dear men, are very much to blame for a woman, you will have to fork out for a really good gift. Every lady, for example, dreams of having items made of natural mink fur in her wardrobe. In the Marifurs salon you can choose ready-made models of mink fur coats or order individual tailoring by making inserts from other fur. Your gift will be exclusive and unusual, and at the beginning of spring, many salons will please you with significant discounts by the end of the season.

    How accurate is it.
Respect to the author, men to read the article and think. This is really no longer just a holiday, but a tradition, and women are exhibited as monsters, who count the approach of this holiday in seconds. Last year I bought everything myself, cooked everything myself, cleaned everything. My husband, godfather came, and they brought some gifts, BUT it would be better without gifts, but they just did everything themselves, they gave me a rest

And how many pictures on the Internet can be found on this topic. Try to find a postcard by March 8, you just have to look - you read a lot, you see it, you hear it. Some anecdotes are worth it. Does a woman really need a lot to be happy? It’s straight to turn mountains, push dragons through caves, sow seeds, grow flowers, collect flowers, and yes, let out horses, set fire to huts .. Well, so that there is something to do on a holiday. Of course, it’s easier to arrange a uniform bedlam, to whine, and then also revel in your attitude to March 8 ...
