Good afternoon I am interested in the following question: how would you (as a psychologist) comment on the dependence of a person’s character, mood on his zodiac sign? Is there any sense in all these horoscopes, etc., when they write that a twin does not fit an Aries, for example.

Frankly, the question is very interesting, and, most importantly, vital. I remember from the first years of university, when asking teachers such a question, they only smiled condescendingly and said that it was not appropriate for a future psychologist to be superstitious and believe in horoscopes, omens, etc.

In general, I think, to believe or not to believe in it is a personal matter for everyone. No one will ever give you a definite answer to this question. Some believe, and it calms them, and even find coincidences, others do not believe, and also nothing, they live somehow.

If you are interested in my personal attitude to this issue, then I do not believe in horoscopes. But sometimes no, no, but a phrase will come out, like: “Oh, is he such and such according to the horoscope ?! Well, then everything is clear ... ". We really want to classify people in some way. And there is nothing surprising here. It's just that since childhood, we constantly hear about horoscopes, zodiac signs, etc. I am sure that even the most unbelieving person in the horoscope still knows his zodiac sign and at least once read the forecast.

Another moment, when interest in a horoscope turns into a mania and a person begins to fit everyone and everything to the limits, boundaries. Over time, this begins to interfere with life not only for others, but also for the person himself. After all, it is not possible only by the sign of the zodiac or some other similar subjective sign, without knowing the person, to say for sure that yes, this person is such and such, but that one is completely different, since he was born under a different star ... I'm sure that among your friends and acquaintances there are a lot of couples who, according to all “star” indicators, cannot be nearby, but they do live, and sometimes very happily.

So believe it or not, choose for yourself. The main thing is that it does not interfere with your life!

And yet, no matter what anyone says, it is very tempting to look into the future, at least with one eye ...
