How to welcome 2012 Year of the Dragon and how to set the table

Nothing left before the cherished chiming clock - a little less than a week. Ahead of each of us are magnificent feasts, meetings with family and friends, a lot of positive and laughter. And each of us hopes that the coming year will be happy and will be remembered for many years. But what can we do on New Year's Eve to improve our chances of success in 2012 one iota?

First, get acquainted with the symbol of the coming year. The year 2012 will be ruled by the Black Water Dragon, also known as the Blue Dragon. What do we know about dragons? They are creatures of fabulous, magical, flying, proud and ancient, personifying royal blood. Make your plans for December 31, taking into account precisely these qualities of the Dragon.

But before meeting the 2012 Year of the Dragon, spend the outgoing year. How?

When midnight is approaching ... Hide from the pre-holiday turmoil in a secluded place 🙂 and sincerely thank the Rabbit for all the good that 2011 has brought you. As a gift to a furry animal, eat a piece of greenery. But when you hear the chiming clock, already then start thinking about something bright - welcome the Dragon, which comes into its own (even despite the fact that according to the Chinese calendar, the New Year will come only in February 🙂)

Where and how to meet 2012 year of the Dragon

Considering that the Dragon is a migratory creature, do not be surprised by the craving for travel that has arisen in your soul from nowhere. Discover new places with the oriental pangolin! In addition, remember that the Dragon is not a big fan of enclosed spaces, so if you don’t have the opportunity to leave the city, at least arrange a holiday in the open. A cramped apartment will definitely not appeal to a fire-breathing beast.

The New Year's menu on the table in 2012 also needs to be compiled, taking into account the preferences of the Dragon. And if you remember that Dragons do not suffer from a lack of appetite and are practically omnivorous, then your culinary imagination will have room to turn around!

But when setting the table, pay special attention to the following points:

- Do not cook dishes from semi-finished products. Neither the Black Dragon nor your stomach will appreciate such a masterpiece. On New Year's Eve, you need to eat natural, fresh food that does not need long heat treatment. Leave a year-old stew to gather dust in the pantry.

- Try to bring the spirit of your holiday closer to the east. If there is an opportunity, for example, you still got to the edge of the forest for a picnic, cook a dish on an open fire, thus emphasizing the spirit of the Dragon.

- Dragons love spicy, almost "burning" dishes. For example, cook arbecue steaks or pour hot alcohol over a meat dish before serving. And treat yourself to spices - pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger. Such a "trick" will clearly appreciate the fire-breathing lizard.

- Ensure the presence of fish dishes on the table. If finances allow, treat yourself to delicacies - sterlet, trout, sturgeon.

- The dragon will definitely be on your side next year if you decorate the New Year's table .... pumpkin! Either as a dish or as a table decoration.

— By the way, about the table setting… Burning candles must be present on it, because fire is the symbol of the Dragon. Yes, and in general - decorative candles certainly will not spoil the surroundings of the holiday.

- In addition, make an "offering" to the water - the elements of 2012. Decorate the house with shells, starfish, buy an aquarium (if you have dreamed of it for a long time). Small lit candles floating in small plates will look very symbolic.
