“The New Year is rushing towards us, soon everything will happen ....” The New Year is really just around the corner, so we are starting to do all the preparations for this wonderful holiday. Winter, cold, snow - this affects many people depressingly, and they try to recreate a piece of warmth at home, make it cozy and joyful, while for others, on the contrary, pure white snow outside the window helps to create a holiday atmosphere.
So, if you are imbued with the idea and want to decorate the house for the New Year with your own hands - it's time. You do not need a lot of money, you only need your imagination and patience. And the advice of the site shop-ultra.ru is to help you.
How can you decorate your house for the New Year?
1. Here, first of all, pay attention to all New Year's paraphernalia - a Christmas tree, garland toys, etc. Give your Christmas tree a gift, in addition to annual toys, decorate it with sweets or fruits - small tangerines with the help of threads and a needle can be carefully turned into bright decorations for the Christmas tree.
And garlands can be hung not only in traditional places. I remember that about 2 years ago we celebrated the New Year in an apartment with a newborn, decorated his crib with a garland - the baby was simply fascinated. You can also fix the garland on a window, a chandelier, or even put it in a transparent vase.
Or in general, you can make an unusual garland - from Chinese balls or paper balls.

2. Decorate the house with snowflakes - faithful companions of the New Year. Well, who among us did not cut them out in childhood :) By the way, snowflakes can be not only paper, they can also be cut out of foil. Such snowflakes will turn out shiny, which means more bright.
You can make unusual snowflakes or stars with glue and glitter. Suspended from the ceiling, they will spin in an amazing waltz all New Year's Eve.
Snowflakes using the quilling technique (paper rolling) or voluminous paper snowflakes also look wonderful.
3. In addition to paper snowflakes, you can decorate the house with snowflakes painted on a mirror or glass.
How to draw snowflakes on glass or mirror
You will need all the same cut out snowflake, only you can use for these purposes not clean paper, but an old newspaper. You will need: snowflake, gouache, toothpaste and toothbrush.
Cut out a snowflake of the desired shape, slightly moisten one side of it so that it stays on the glass. Prepare the “paint”: for this, take gouache (better, of course, blue) and dilute it to a light blue color with toothpaste. The resulting mixture must be sprayed on the glass with a toothbrush. How? Apply "blue paste" to the brush, push back the bristles and let go. The stencil will be all spattered with paint. It is better not to use the first splashes - they are very large.
After a couple of minutes, remove the workpiece from the glass. Such a snowflake is easy to wash off after.
A more expensive, but also more elegant option is to use stained glass paints.
4. You can also decorate a room for the New Year with bouquets with forcing or snow-covered branches. Read our article on how to make a bouquet of forcing branches.
And beautiful “frost-covered” branches with a slight coating of frost can be made in one night. Prepare a strong saline solution, bring it to a boil and keep the spruce branches in it for a couple of hours, you can even leave them overnight. Remove carefully and dry. In the morning you just won't recognize the branches.
5. From white balloons you can "blind" a snowman. Inflate balloons of various sizes and connect them together, for example, using double-sided tape. Use a marker to draw the snowman's nose, eyes, mouth. Your friendly assistant can greet guests in the hallway or living room. However, if you already have little space, do not deprive yourself of additional space.
6. The atmosphere of the holiday will help you create a light accompaniment. Arrange candles of different colors and sizes in the room. When you turn off the light, you will find yourself in a magical world. Just be extremely careful with fire, after all - your safety is more important.
7. Arrange small themed installations on the tables. Pay special attention to the table setting, because you can decorate napkins, cutlery, plates, or in general - put a vase filled with Christmas decorations on the table! Very original! Everything is in your hands - look at a selection of photos of the holiday home decoration found on the Internet, maybe they will give you a couple of ideas.
