Making flowers from fabric for gift wrapping

What could be nicer than a handmade gift? That's right - the same gift, but still beautifully and unusually designed. You can decorate gift wrapping in an original way with the help of such wonderful fabric poppy flowers.

It is very easy to make them, see the master class presented under the cut to see for yourself.

If poppies are completely inappropriate for your celebration or do not match with wrapping paper, then you can follow the link to see other workshops on how to make fabric flowers .

But back to our poppies.

To create them you will need:

- red chiffon, satin or satin (the main thing is that the fabric is completely synthetic),

- a piece of black tulle,

- black floss or iris thread, needle,

- candle,

- scissors.

1. Cut out mugs of different sizes from the fabric. For one flower you need at least 3-4 blanks. The circles do not have to be even (it is even desirable, on the contrary, to make the circles slightly uneven).

2. The most important point is to carefully make the petals by burning the edges of the fabric over the fire. Be careful, the fabric heats up quickly, it can flare up very quickly.

3. For our poppy flower, we make a core. To do this, first cut out a small circle of black tulle and use embroidery thread to make a small pom-pom.

4. Now we sew all the layers: petals + tulle + pompom.

5. Depending on how you will use the finished flower, you can sew a button on it or decorate it with beads. It can also be pinned to a pin and attached as a brooch to a suit.
